JuJu Smith-Schuster: Touchdowns

JuJu Smith-Schuster has compiled 26 touchdowns in his first four NFL seasons. After earning a career-high 9 scores in 2020, it stands to reason that he should be favored to do so again in 2021. Despite his infatuation with Diontae Johnson, JuJu is still Ben’s most trusted target. This is especially true in the red zone.

Whether on a slant, a corner, or even a shovel pass, Smith-Schuster is a physical weapon the Steelers love to use around the endzone. I don’t see that changing at all with Matt Canada taking over the reins. While he occasionally has issues with drops as well, he’s got reliable hands and the ability to hold onto the rock after taking a big shot from a defender.

JuJu can score from multiple ways and he might even be able to sneak in a few touchdowns from plays beyond 20 yards. However, most of his work will be done inside the hashes and in the red zone. This could be the first double-digit touchdown season of his career, and I expect him to lead the team in this department.
