2. Mitchell Schwartz, Offensive Tackle

When Schwartz was healthy, he was an all-pro for four seasons and was among the league’s best offensive tackles. However, he missed all of 2020 with a back injury and was later released from the Chiefs following the Super Bowl.

Schwartz is 32 and the uncertainty of whether he plays again is still unknown, I believe the Steelers should bring him in if the medicals are cleared. While the Steelers addressed the offensive line with pick 87 (Kendrick Green) and pick 128 (Dan Moore), I still wished they selected a lineman earlier in the draft, such as Teven Jenkins.

If the Steelers were to bring in Schwartz, he would immediately become their best offensive tackle. He would be an even better replacement above Andrew Villanueva, who left for the Baltimore Ravens this offseason. Suppose the Steelers want to add another Kansas City offensive lineman. In that case, they should also consider Austin Reiter, Center, who could serve as the starting center if the coaching staff believes Kendrick Green is unready. Or recently released Morgan Moses would be another solid addition for the Steelers.
