Stephon Tuitt: #91

Surprised to see Stephon Tuitt on this list? You shouldn’t be. With the general media, Stephon Tuitt has not been given nearly enough love; however, most Steelers fans know his value to the organization.

Though Tuitt has not earned a single Pro Bowl honor in the first 7 years of his NFL career, this is still a relatively safe purchase. The mammoth defensive lineman doesn’t have the same reputation as a player like Cameron Heyward, but he is coming off the best season of his career in 2020 with 11.0 sacks, 10 tackles for a loss, and 25 quarterback hits, and he still has time to get there.

While Tuitt is entering his 8th NFL season, he turned just 28 years old in May, and still should have some of his best years ahead of him. Tuitt is signed through the 2022 season, but history has shown us that the Steelers like to keep their best defensive lineman for their entire careers.

In the odd chance that Pittsburgh does let him walk after 2022 (which I don’t see happening considering that Heyward will be retiring at some point in the future), Tuitt still would have given the Steelers nearly a decade of football. This is a jersey purchase that still has a good amount of life left in it but can be worn well after Stephon Tuitt retires.
