As the former 10th overall pick in the 2014 NFL Draft, there were some extremely high hopes for tight end, Eric Ebron. Sadly after playing in the NFL for the better part of a decade, he has fallen well short of being able to meet expectations.

Some of this is because Ebron just isn’t the generational talent at the tight end position that many thought he would be. However, it doesn’t help when he has been hampered by injuries for much of his professional career.

Since joining the league in 2014, Ebron has only played in a full season twice, and he has been credited with at least 10 starts in just one year (2016), according to Pro Football Reference. Though staying healthy wouldn’t have automatically fixed his issues as a blocker or inconsistency as a receiver, these setbacks add up, and they continually got in the way of what at least could have been a very promising career.
