Peterson could be an excellent mentor for Najee Harris

You may already be aware that Najee Harris has spent some time this offseason training with Adrian Peterson. While I’m sure he’s already gotten a few pointers from the legendary running back, I would love for this relationship to be able to continue during the 2021 season.

Of all the veteran running backs teams would love to have as a mentor to younger backs in the league right now, Peterson would be near the top of the list. He has played behind good offensive lines and bad offensive lines during his career, and has managed to find success in nearly every situation.

While Harris may very well become a better blocker and receiver than Peterson was during his time, the former four-time First-Team All-Pro was one of the best runners of the football we have ever seen, and he no doubt has a lot he could teach a talented young player like Harris.

Harris and Peterson are different players with different overall skill sets, but it’s always a good idea to learn from one of the best. The Steelers would be able to get Peterson on a very reasonable deal at this point in his career if he is willing to come back for another season.
