Which player would Steelers take from each AFC North team in 2021?

Browns: EDGE Myles Garrett

Others considered: CB Denzel Ward, OT Jedrick Wills

As much as it pains Steelers fans to admit, the Cleveland Browns have one of the most talented rosters on paper in the NFL. Because of this, it was tempting to fill a few other big holes. Steelers cornerback depth is very scary, so Pro Bowl cornerback Denzel Ward was really tempting.

In addition, Cleveland has a plethora of quality offensive linemen who could step in and be the best player on Pittsburgh’s OL from the gate. Offensive tackle Jedrick Wills is a budding star with the potential to be the best left tackle in the business in due time.

However, for this one-year stint, I couldn’t pass on the idea of pairing the two best edge defenders in the NFL together. Having Myles Garrett lining up opposite of T.J. Watt simply would not be fair to opposing offenses, and I’m not sure how any team could find the time to pass the ball against the Steelers.

I know many fans have a beef with Garrett after the whole incident with Mason Rudolph. However, this is something I would be willing to get past if given the chance to land the All-Pro edge rusher for one year in a Super Bowl window. There is little doubt Pittsburgh would have the best defense in the league in 2021.
