Ryan Fitzpatrick, Washington

If Ben had decided to hang up the cleats this offseason, Ryan Fitzpatrick would have been the guy I would have called first to try and replace him. Yes, he is an aging veteran as well. He also is infamous for his hot and cold play, but he has the right combination of experience and aggressiveness that I think could be a great fit for a Steelers team that lacks an identity on offense.

The Washington Football Team clearly felt that way as well, signing Fitzpatrick to a 1-year, $10 million contract to be their new starter. I believe Fitzpatrick will thrive with their young talent at receiver and on the defense, and it’s something he would have in Pittsburgh as well.

If he makes the playoffs with Washington and is a big part of getting them there, he could be brought back in 2022. If not, the Steelers shouldn’t hesitate to bring him in to compete with Rudolph.

Which of these QBs would you want to be the starter if Ben retires? Let me know in the comments down below! If one, in particular, gets a lot of attention, I may do a piece on their fit with Pittsburgh.
