Steelers Tight Ends (3)

Eric Ebron, Pat Freiermuth, Dax Raymond

The tight end group has a little bit more intrigue heading into 2021. While the top two options are set, the third tight end is a wide-open race. Heck, the team may not even keep a third tight end based on the players they are bringing into camp. The team could add a free agent still t round out this group, but until then the team will have to choose the best from the rest.

Eric Ebron will start again this season as the athletic receiving tight end. While he had his share of struggles in 2020, he is still the best option the team has at tight end for the time being. Pat Freiermuth will look to make an impact after being drafted in the second round. That said, tight ends do have a notoriously hard transition to the NFL and Freiermuth only played a handful of snaps last season due to injury.

For the last spot, I opted to go for a wildcard at tight end. Dax Raymond was actually signed to the roster last year but was injured and eventually released. The team brought him back though, seemingly a sign that they may have seen something in him. At this point, the third tight end spot is entirely up in the air. Raymond had some hype coming out of school as a potential complete tight end, so perhaps he puts it together enough to make the team as a third option.
