Cameron Heyward

Overall rating: 92

Just a few points behind T.J. Watt is Cameron Heyward. The veteran defensive lineman and two-time First-Team All-Pro player could wind up being the second-highest rated player on the Steelers this year on Madden 22 (especially after Minkah Fitzpatrick was recently disrespected with an 89 overall rating).

Heyward clearly deserves to be among the top defensive lineman in Madden 22, as he has been one of the most consistent defenders in the NFL over the past four seasons – earning four straight Pro Bowls during that span.

Just three interior defenders are ranked ahead of Heyward on this list (four if you count Myles Garrett, who has mistakenly been placed in the same category). Those include Aaron Donald (99), J.J. Watt (94), and Cameron Jordan (93).

At age 32, Heyward has probably already seen his best football, and you shouldn’t expect his rating to climb much in 2021. Still, he’s a cornerstone defender for the Steelers and one who should make a big difference on the field this year.
