1. Najee Harris

It is no secret that the Steelers running game was a disaster last year, and that change was needed for them to succeed this year. That’s why they selected Najee Harris in the first round of the NFL Draft and made numerous changes upfront on the offensive line,

Harris was widely regarded as the top running back in this year’s draft class and proved himself as a three-down back while in college at Alabama. Harris’s ability to not only run the ball but also block and catch the ball out of the backfield at a high level is what separated him from the competition.

After spending a first-round selection on a running back, the Steelers made it clear that Harris would be a huge part of this offense going forward, and that bodes well for fantasy football. Despite concerns about an inexperienced offensive line, the lack of competition for carries makes Harris a safe bet to be an RB2, with the potential to be an RB1 in fantasy.

His projected involvement in the offense makes him an extremely valuable fantasy selection who will likely go in the second or third round and should be worth that on volume alone, even if he’s inefficient with his touches. Despite a second or third-round price tag, Harris has  first-round upside.

Look for Harris to be the most valuable fantasy asset in the Steelers’ offense, touching the ball at least 20 times a game, while chipping in at least 900 yards rushing, 45 receptions, and 10 total touchdowns.
