4 players who wouldn’t offer the Steelers anything special in 2021

The Pittsburgh Steelers will have to determine their final roster before the start of the season, but they may want to re-think what these players bring to the table.
By the start of the 2021 regular season, each team’s 90-man roster will be cut to just 53 players. The Pittsburgh Steelers have some interesting decisions on their hands. While some positions are suddenly loaded with talent, others leave you wondering if they should look to use an additional roster spot elsewhere.
Even year, there are a handful of players that leave fans questioning their purpose and role on the team. I can think of four players likely to make the roster this year who wouldn’t offer the Steelers anything special in 2021:
Steelers RB Benny Snell
Former fourth-round pick or not, I just don’t see what Benny Snell Jr. brings to the table that can’t be covered by every other running back on the roster. Physicality and power running? Najee Harris has that covered. Other than that, what does Snell have to offer the Steelers? The former Kentucky star is a well below-average athlete who clearly struggles to gain any sort of chunk yardage, and those claiming that his 4.64 timed speed doesn’t matter must have forgotten that he averaged just 3.3 yards per carry last season.
Even if the offensive line and play-calling improve this year, Snell can’t do anything when he sees a crease and he’s forced to try to power through defenders instead of making them miss in space and breeze around them.
Harris should be better in every facet of the game, while Anthony McFarland offers elite speed and Jaylen Samuels is a quality receiver. Snell will make the Steelers roster, but I just don’t see that he brings anything special to the table.
