The Great: Special teams

There were a plethora of players that showed the ability to gun on special teams. Not only did we get great play from the coverage units, but as a whole, the punting unit we showed in game 1 is the hope we had when drafting the best punter in college football in April. If Harvin punts like this regularly, it is going to be a huge boost to both sides of the ball.

We have an offense with question marks surrounding the offensive line. Their job should be made a lot easier by the short fields Pittsburgh would be provided with the kind of help our special teams and defense can afford them. Short fields bode success for teams and that is why turnovers are so crucial. but if we have one of those games where the majority of points scored are field goals, this defense, and the punting unit should help keep Boswell in range while keeping an opposing kicker out of it.

Our defense will be one of the best in the league this year yet again. We are going to be in opposing backfields a lot. If Harvin is pinning them within the 10-yard line regularly, then we better be prepared to earn 2 points on a few occasions.
