The Pittsburgh Steelers take on the Philadephia Eagles tonight Here are the odds, predictions, injury report, and TV schedule for the game.

After the entire 2020 NFL preseason was canceled, we finally got our first taste of football this year during the Pittsburgh Steelers Hall of Fame Game against the Dallas Cowboys. While this game consisted almost solely of backups, it helped get fans excited for the upcoming season.

Because of the new 17-game schedule, teams will play just three preseason games this year. Fortunately for Steelers and Cowboys fans, they get to watch their team in one additional game prior to the start of the season.

It will be interesting to see how the Steelers balance the workload of their players in the coming weeks. The preseason also marks the return of NFL betting, so let’s jump right into this week’s odds:

Steelers vs. Eagles odds for Preseason Week 1:

According to WynnBET, the Philadelphia Eagles are favorited to win this preseason game against the Pittsburgh Steelers. In their first game of 2021, the Eagles are two-point favorites with a moneyline of -130. The Steelers are -108 against the spread with a moneyline of +104.

For those who are unfamiliar, -130 odds means that you would have to bet $130 to win an additional $100 (total payout of $230). The Steelers, meanwhile, are underdogs at +104 – meaning that if you bet $100, you would win an additional $104 ($204 total payout).

Steelers Injury Report vs. Eagles preseason Week 1

There are no official injury reports during the NFL preseason, but there are a few players who we should be wary of. T.J. Watt’s agent is working with Pittsburgh on a lucrative new contract extension and he’s not expected to take part in any preseason games until that is official. Likewise, Stephon Tuitt has practiced very sparingly up to this point.

It’s also worth noting that this is technically Pittsburgh’s second preseason game out of four, and they could be playing it very cautiously with their starters as a result. Expect the second and third-string to get most of the work once again.

Steelers vs. Eagles prediction for preseason Week 1

If you are going to bet on the Steelers winning this preseason game, it might be advantageous to bet the moneyline. With just an extra two points being given to Pittsburgh against the spread, the payout isn’t very good. If you are planning to bet against the Steelers then you may want to avoid the moneyline and bet the spread on the Eagles.

Of course, betting the point total is also an option. Last week, the Steelers and Cowboys finished at over/under 31.5 combined points, but they scored just 16 combined. This week against the Eagles, the point total is set at 34.5. With typically sloppy play in the preseason, it could be worth betting the under this week.
