With the Steelers set to face the Eagles for their second preseason matchup, here are four bold predictions for the game.

The Steelers prepare to play their second preseason game against their in-state rivals the Eagles. The team has a far better idea about what their roster has now, and this next game should involve the starters getting some looks. That said, it will still predominantly run by the backups. Considering how camp has gone so far though, there are still a lot of ways this game could shake out. Here are four bold predictions for the Steelers in their second preseason game.

Steelers Dotson plays angry

One of the most hyped players entering the Steelers offseason was former fourth-round pick, Kevin Dotson. He saw a healthy amount of playing time last year despite his selection spot and he was great. He ranked out as one of the best rookie linemen in the league and was expected to run away with the starting job in camp. Injuries have held him back though, and he has just started to practice for the team.

This has led to a litany of speculation. From overweight rumors early in the process to now simply being outplayed by Rashaad Coward (hard to see that when Dotson has not practiced much), Dotson now finds himself in a unique position. Heading into this game, I believe Dotson will remind everyone why they were so excited for him in the first place. He’ll play angry, move some people around, and bring the hype back where it should be heading into the second half of camp. Don’t be surprised to see Dotson bring some nastiness to this line this week.
