C Kendrick Green

The reviews on rookie center, Kendrick Green have been mixed so far. While his elite mobility and tenacity are easy to spot, he’s also been inconsistent and bullied at times on the offensive line. Obviously, this is something that should improve with more reps at a new position.

The former Illinois guard was electric at getting to the second level in the Hall of Fame Game last week, but he also missed on a few easy blocks in space and was driven back a few times in pass protection. We will hope for better results this time around.

Green is short and stout, and at 6’1 7/8”, and 305 pounds, he’s going to be smaller than most defensive tackles he will go up against this season. Fortunately, Green should get some great matchups this week that will really test his ability to hold up at the point of attack.

While they may play very sparingly (considering this is the first preseason game for the Eagles) players like Fletcher Cox, Javon Hargrave, and Hassan Ridgeway could give Green a great challenge. Even rookie defensive tackle Milton Williams will be a good test. It will be interesting to see if Geen holds his own this week.
