QB Dwayne Haskins

I’m not going to pretend like Dwayne Haskins had a great performance against the Dallas Cowboys in the Hall of Fame Game. He had a few passes that were way off the mark and finished the game averaging just 4.2 yards per attempt with a 70.7 passer rating.

However, he took a big leap forward with his performance against the Eagles this week. In addition to completing a high percentage of his passes, Haskins did a much better job keeping his eyes downfield and made several big plays. He even showcased the ability to get outside the pocket and find an open receiver in the endzone.

Still, this performance wasn’t perfect, as Haskins had a couple of erred throws that were way off the mark. However, it was a massive improvement from the game we saw last week and a big step in the right direction.

Mason Rudolph was respectable, but none of his drives resulted in points. With a very good performance by Haskins this week, it will be interesting to see if they play him over Rudoph moving forward in the preseason.
