All player ratings for Madden 22 have now been released, but here are five Pittsburgh Steelers who were completely disrespected with their overall rating.

Madden 22 player ratings have officially been released, and just like the faults with the game, they have fans outraged already. Upon further examination, it’s not hard to see why.

While some high-profile players were given the respect they deserve, others were completely disregarded with their player ratings as if they have no impact on the game. Though some of these players still need to prove themselves, it’s clear that Madden is going to have some big roster updates to make when the season kicks off. Here are five player ratings that are completely bonkers:

Steelers EDGE Alex Highsmith: 71 overall

Uh… what? I’m at a loss for words with this one. I understand that Alex Highsmith was just a rookie last year, but he was remarkable filling in for the injured Bud Dupree.

If you’re not sure what this rating means, allow me to put it into perspective. Running back Benny Snell has an overall rating of 74 this year on Madden 22. After averaging 3.3 yards per carry throughout the 2020 season and being injured most of training camp, Snell is somehow rated higher than Pittsburgh’s promising edge defender.

Likewise, Jordan Berry was given an overall grade of 76 this year. While Berry is competent, he’s unlikely to even make the roster this year as he will likely lose out to rookie punter, Pressley Harvin. Even Harvin – the Steelers 7th round pick – is rated higher on Madden 22 than Alex Highsmith.

In addition, Melvin Ingram – who is behind Highsmith on the depth chart – was given an overall rating of 87 this year on Madden. That’s 16 points higher than Highsmith. I know that Highsmith still has a lot to prove, but he was completely insulted with his rating on Madden this year.
