Steelers LT: Chukwuma Okorafor vs Dan Moore Jr.

Last year, Steelers fans were very impressed with the play of rookie guard Kevin Dotson. This time around, it’s Dan Moore Jr. who is drawing a lot of buzz. It’s not very hard to see why.

Chukwuma Okorafor has really struggled so far in his first two preseason games, but he has been listed as the starting left tackle all along – despite missing a good chunk of time during Steelers training camp with an injury.

Moore, on the other hand, has been one of Pittsburgh’s most impressive offensive players in the preseason. Despite making the jump from college to the NFL, the game doesn’t seem too fast for the 4th round pick, and he has done an excellent job at keeping defensive linemen in front of him.

Both Okorafor and Moore are young players who could continue to improve, but Okorafor did not perform well at left tackle last year and is already in his fourth NFL season. The fact that Moore has looked better in both camp and in the preseason this year has fans begging for him to get an opportunity with the starters. We will see what Pittsburgh decides.
