3 ways Najee Harris will transform the Steelers offense in 2021
By Luke Sawhook
Short yardage situations
One of the biggest issues that the Steelers faced last season was the immense frustration of being hit with a brick wall on short-yardage rushing downs. Watching Benny Snell and James Conner seemingly run into a brick wall on every single third and short or fourth and goal was as painful as it gets.
Coupled with a new younger offensive line that should have a better pop off of the line of scrimmage for run blocking, I expect the explosive, power-back profile that Najee Harris brings to the table to immediately alleviate these issues from the Steelers’ offense.
One of the best attributes of Najee’s game is his ability to be explosive. He can shoot out of a cannon when needed. Don’t believe me? Watch the highlight of him hurdling over a player in the college football playoffs! Najee is a tough, gritty between the tackles runner with an explosive running style with plenty of juice, that will hopefully make Yinz less likely to break their TV this season.
