This season, the Steelers have an offense full of weapons that are going to be extremely fantasy relevant, the question is which have star potential?

It’s that time Yinz! Fantasy football draft season is officially upon us, and we all know how fun it is to root for players on your favorite team on your fantasy team too. I’m here to do just that, help you identify players from your Pittsburgh Steelers that can win you your fantasy football leagues.

Quarterback

Last season Big Ben finished as QB 14 in 4 point passing touchdown scoring, which was a very solid fantasy finish for number 7! The thing is, can Ben keep up this level of production this season? The general opinion from consensus this year is no based on his ADP (average draft position) of QB 20 off the board in ESPN leagues, which is well below his finish of 14 last season.

Let’s dive into why Ben is slipping down draft boards, and why he likely should be. Last season although number 7 had a very solid fantasy football season, he is likely due to regress in a pretty big way for fantasy purposes. He finished 3rd in the NFL in pass attempts last season… That matched with only being 14 in fantasy is not a great sign. Add in Najee Harris to the mix who will likely end up reducing his 608 pass attempts down by a significant portion, Ben will need to be way more efficient if he dreams of sniffing the top 15 again.

Should you draft Big Ben?

In short, no. Unless you’re in a Superflex or 2 QB league format, Ben should be sitting on your waiver wire once your league is finished drafting. Although he will likely be a good streaming option off your waiver wire, Ben will likely be an inconsistent option for your fantasy teams.
