It shouldn’t come as a surprise that Najee Harris is my #1 fantasy option

Harris is the safest player on the Steelers roster to start in fantasy. He should dominate target share in the backfield while having the pass-catching abilities to line up out wide. Even with the Steelers 2 RB sets featuring both Harris and Mcfarland, I am not concerned about his target share in the slightest. He will probably eclipse 200 touches as a rookie as we’ve seen Tomlin feed premier running backs in the past.

Even if it takes a while for the Steelers’ offensive line to get going, Harris is a high second-round pick for me in all fantasy formats. His short-yardage abilities make him serviceable in the Redzone for standard leagues while his ability to catch the ball will help sustain him in PPR formats. Even if he isn’t a top 5 rusher in terms of yardage this season, he will score enough to make himself an elite fantasy option by the end of 2021.

I have Harris as an RB1 in all fantasy formats with top 5 potential this season. I have very little doubt that by the end of this season the people who passed on him due to the Steelers’ re-tooled offensive line will be regretting it.
