Steelers 2021 Draft Class is Outstanding

The entire ’21 Draft class is performing very well. RB, Najee Harris, and TE, Pat Friermuth are already looking like fixtures on offense. I had real doubts about OT, Dan Moore, after watching his game against North Carolina (UNC) but he’s shown signs he can be a solid sub and may even be able to vie for a starting role before too long.

Isaiah Loudermilk’s poor stat line and lack of playing time made him suspect but it looks like Kevin Colbert was right. By my count, in limited playing time, Loudermilk had 12 tackles, 2 for a loss, 3 QB hits, a pass deflection, and 1.5 sacks. That was enough to secure a roster spot.

Center, Kendrick Green. scored a 62.8 PFF blocking grade in the preseason. He’s had the usual rookie up and downs but is definitely trending upward. LB, Buddy Johnson, and FS, Tre Norwood both made the team, though Norwood will probably be sent down to the PS due to the Karl Joseph signing. In a fan favorite move, Pressley Harvin III beat out Jordan Berry. That’s 8 out of 9 draft picks who have made the final 53.
