AFC North standings heading into Week 2 of 2021 NFL schedule

Week 1 of the NFL has come and gone so now it is time to see how the AFC North faired and what is coming up in Week 2 of their schedules.

The AFC North just wrapped up its first week for the 2021 schedule. It was a week that saw some movement finally show up for those in the standings as some teams lost while others won.

Some tough games happened for each one of these clubs looking to go 1-0 but ended up finishing 0-1 after the first week. This upcoming week will be an interesting one as some teams have easier games and others have some playoff-like atmosphere battles.

It should be another fun week of competition as all four of these teams look to move in the right direction going forward.

Cincinnati Bengals (1-0) vs. Chicago Bears (0-1), Sunday at 1 p.m. ET

The Cincinnati Bengals head on the road against the Chicago Bears for Week 2. It was a last-second field goal that secured the Bengals a win in overtime against the Minnesota Vikings last weekend, and it was a close game that saw these young tigers pull through and make plays when it counted most.

This landed them and 1-0 start and a positive direction in the AFC North standings. There will be bumps in the road for this team going forward, and this offense will face a real task with the Bears defensive front. Chicago has a poor offense ran by Andy Dalton, but if it opts for Justin Fields at quarterback, then this could be a more favorable matchup for the home squad.

Cincinnati is also on the road, so that could make things tougher as it tries to make play calls.

Expect this one to be another close matchup just like last week was for the Bengals. The Bears would have a better chance of victory if they played Fields, but since they’re likely to stick with Dalton at quarterback, the Bengals could be the minor favorites.
