AFC North standings heading into Week 2 of 2021 NFL schedule
Houston Texans (1-0) vs. Cleveland Browns (0-1), Sunday at 1 p.m. ET
It was a very good battle between the Cleveland Browns and Kansas City Chiefs in the first game of competition for this squad. The Browns lost after a late interception that cost them the game. It was a shootout and the game of the week. Many did not expect the Browns to put up that close of a score against the Chiefs, but they were impressive. The Browns are now 0-1 and are at the bottom of the AFC North standings, but it is too early for concern.
They have an easier matchup this week as they try to bounce back.
The Houston Texans come to town for the Browns’ home opener in 2021. The away team is a severe underdog after surprising many and dominating the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 1. The Texans are a rebuilding team that is very hard to find positive things to see when you look at their roster. They need a lot of work going forward, but they did seem solid behind starting quarterback Tyrod Taylor.
The Browns should handle this team fairly easily, as they are better in every phase of football. Their competition is just not that strong of an opponent, and the home club should walk away with their first win of the season, potentially shaking things up again within the AFC North.
It should not be a close game, but stranger upsets have happened before in the NFL.
