AFC North standings heading into Week 2 of 2021 NFL schedule
Kansas City Chiefs (1-0) vs. Baltimore Ravens (0-1), Sunday night at 8:20 p.m. ET
The Baltimore Ravens just lost their opening game against the Las Vegas Raiders in overtime. The fight on Monday Night Football showed what the Ravens will struggle with all season, their defensive secondary, and the offensive line. The Raiders constantly had pressure against quarterback Lamar Jackson, and the secondary has major injury issues. They lost some starters and backups across their roster before the season even began. It is going to be tough sledding for this team heading into Week 2 after their first loss.
This will be a huge game early in the home club’s season against the Chiefs. They do not want to start 0-2, perhaps riding the back end of the AFC North, once this game concludes on Sunday.
Jackson has struggled with turnovers during prime-time games, and he could very well repeat that here. The Chiefs defense is not the strongest unit, but their offense is going to attack this Baltimore secondary with relative ease.
It will come down to Jackson to make plays consistently and keep up with Kansas City throughout the game. This fight will have the backdrop of Baltimore in the background, so that will also be in the birds’ favor but that will only help with so much.
Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes is almost perfect in his early games throughout his career so expect the best out of him as this game goes along.
