Steelers pass rush vs. Derek Carr
One of Pittsburgh’s biggest achievements from last week’s win over the Bills was being able to get a lot of pressure on quarterback Josh Allen.
If you noticed how Derek Carr reacted in the pocket against Baltimore, he seemed to not handle the pressure very well. Sure, Carr did enough to beat the Ravens. But if you look at a lot of his throws, they were all over the place when he sensed pressure.
The Steelers pass rush has to wreak havoc on this Raiders offensive line and allow Carr to choke under pressure.
Expect another big game from Pittsburgh’s front seven.
Steelers offensive line vs. Raiders front seven
Going into Week 2, Pittsburgh still has a big uncertainty for the offensive line, and there wasn’t a lot about Week 1 to change that.
Sure, the Steelers started two rookies against one of the best defenses in the NFL last week. It wasn’t expected to see a lot of success from the O-line, sure. But as the season goes on, they’ll need that improvement from the O-line if they want to be contenders.
The O-line needs to come in ready to dominate up front, and if the black and gold want to see rookie running back Najee Harris run all over Las Vegas, he needs the foundation to execute.
