55. Final. 26. 28. 17

The Steelers fell short in their Week 2 matchup against the Las Vegas Raiders.

The Pittsburgh Steelers lost to the Las Vegas Raiders in their Week 2 matchup 26-17. It was a rough one to watch with the offense playing flat and the defense losing key members to injury. There weren’t a lot of great things to take away from this game. However, it wasn’t a total disaster.

The Steelers specialists were the bright spot in this game.

It is almost sad when your punter had a great game, as that usually means your offense did not. However, Pressley Harvin III punted four times averaging 49.3 yards per punt. Of his four punts, three of them landed the Raiders inside their own 20 and he was one missed tackle by his coverage unit from going 4-for-4 in that department.

On the other hand, Chris Boswell was again perfect on the day, connecting on both of his extra-point attempts and setting a record at Heinz Field with a 56-yard field goal. It doesn’t do much for the health of the defense or the flatness of the offense, however, if this phase of play stays strong it will be a huge help down the road.
