The Steelers’ issues with their offensive line and wide receivers stem from age.

There is a lot of talent between the offensive line and the wide receiver room for Pittsburgh. However, both groups’ issues stem from consistency and maturity. I’m not talking about JuJu’s TikTok dancing either.

For the receivers, we didn’t have to worry too much about drops today. Instead, there were multiple miscues in terms of what routes should be run, or just giving up on the play altogether. Ben’s interception for example came from Diontae Johnson’s lack of desire to play through the contact and continue his route up the sideline. This comes just a week after Chase Claypool’s little skirmish in Buffalo.

For the offensive line, there are too many miscommunications and blown assignments in the passing game. What makes it worse is that the gritty attitude they are trying to play with is starting to continue past the whistle. Trai Turner who was supposed to be the veteran of the group got ejected for allegedly spitting at a player.
