Steelers pass rush against Joe Burrow

One of the Bengals biggest weaknesses since the Joe Burrow era started in Cincinnati was the inability to protect Burrow. Joe Burrow has been sacked 42 times in just 12 games in his career so far. Which was the main reason Burrow got injured for the season in Week 10 of last season.

The Steelers have to execute what they are known for, getting to the quarterback. Pittsburgh struggled to get to Derek Carr last week and I predict even with some injuries the defense has, that they bounce back and wreak havoc on the Bengals offensive line.

Steelers secondary vs Bengals receiving core

Last week, Pittsburgh struggled to cover receivers from the Raiders. Especially Henry Ruggs who scored the game securing touchdown on a 61-yard reception from Derek Carr.

The Steelers didn’t have Joe Haden in the game, but it definitely is still a concern after a huge game against the Bills. Pittsburgh has big matchups against rookie Ja’Marr Chase, Tee Higgins, and Tyler Boyd. The Steelers have to effectively cover these guys as it could be a matchup nightmare in some aspects of the game.

The Steelers have to get pressure on Joe Burrow to limit his ability to throw the ball downfield. But there will be times Burrow has enough protection to execute big throws. Steelers secondary has to do everything they can to stop big plays in order to secure a victory this Sunday.
