Is a Steelers trade for Aaron Rodgers even plausible?

What do the Steelers trade?

It seems unlikely they will trade the remaining selections from the 2022 draft, and that would not be a wise decision, especially if they want to bolster their offensive line.   Perhaps, something that could work is a third-round in 2023, a second-round pick in 2024, and maybe a first-round selection in 2025.

Or Like a third-round selection in 2023, a fourth-round selection in 2024, a second-round choice in 2025, and a first-round in 2026.

Ordinarily, something like that might be fair compensation for Rodgers, but the Packers may not have as much leverage in the situation and might have to settle for much less.

Another option would be the use of conditional draft selections Possibly the Steelers could work in conditional picks instead of guaranteed selections. Say, for instance, if they win a title with Rodgers or make the AFC championship game, then the Packers get a 1st round pick instead of a second or third-round pick.

However, if Rodgers falters, then those selections fall to the third-fourth or fifth-round selections. If they did that, they have some protections that if the trade does not work out in Pittsburgh’s, they do not lose as much in future drafts. If, on the other hand, it does, then the Packers are fairly compensated.
