Steelers rush for more yards than they pass

We are getting really bold here, but I think the Steelers have to find a different way to structure this offense. While the team is making it seem as they will continue forward with the same game plan, the struggles this offense has had means there needs to be a change. As well, slower, more methodical drives would be a huge help in beating the Packers this week.

Thus, I think the Steelers focus on creative running plays to boost that aspect of the offense. The Packers have been average to slightly below-average against the run so far, and the team would be wise to try and exploit that. Get Derek Watt involved on a few extra plays, bring in an additional lineman, or just focus on running out of 11-personal. No matter how it’s done, the Steelers would be wise to focus on establishing their lagging run game.

With the Steelers focusing on the rushing attack, the passing game takes a backseat. Ben Roethlisberger doesn’t need to force anything deep which means he will be playing to his strength this week. He has just shy of 200 passing yards as he focuses on moving the chains when the running game stalls.

Meanwhile, Najee Harris records 125 yards on the back of 28 carries while Ray-Ray McCloud takes a sweep 65-yards to the house. He runs the ball two more times while Chase Claypool adds an attempt himself. Altogether, the Steelers rush for 204 total yards, and for once beat their total passing yardage.
