The Pittsburgh Steelers lose their third straight game and fall to a 1-3 record, cementing themselves as the worst team in the AFC North by record.

The Steelers lose to the Packers 27-17 in what seemed like a competitive game at the start. The teams played the same but also worse, which I didn’t know was possible. But the Steelers escape with no injuries and 17 points to their name and are 1-3 when the rest of the AFC North is 3-1, here are three takeaways from the game against the Green Bay Packers.

This is Ben’s final season

I’ve seen some conversate around the idea of Ben returning for one more season if he plays lights out this season, after the game fans just watched I think it is 110% safe to say that this is his final hoorah. Ben not only missed open receivers but he missed Juju multiple times and those completions would’ve led to two touchdowns and momentum going Pittsburghs’ way.

I know Ben isn’t the only one to blame for the lack of success but at what point does the offense band together more than one good drive a game and look unwatchable the rest of the game.

When the ball was in Ben’s hands, defenses used to fear him, even last year Ben was accurate and helped the offense with limited interceptions and 33 touchdowns. Roethlisberger isn’t stepping into his throws which are leading to his inaccurate throws.

On a positive note, Ben did reach the 400+ touchdown mark and passed Dan Marino in all-time passing yards, he now ranks 6th. I love Ben, don’t get me wrong, but father time has caught up and it’s time for him and the Steelers to part ways after the season.
