Broncos vs Steelers: Who the experts are picking in week 5?

These expert picks have come from three different websites. Only three picks are shown overall for this article, as some other sites will have a culmination of writers showing their picks.

The sites for this week are sportingnews.com, cbssports.com, and nflspinzone.com. All three have made their selections for this week’s matchup and those picks are in the home team’s favor.

CBS Sports

CBS is picking the Steelers to win this game in a close fight. They have the home team winning by a score of 19-16. Well, that score would make sense as both offenses have shown to struggle at times during this season and the Broncos might not have Teddy Bridgewater available.

They expect it to come down to the defenses and being in Pittsburgh will give the home squad an advantage as well. This should be a very close and defensive game, according to this expert.

NFL Spin Zone

This site also has the Steelers winning this game by a score of 24-22. This would be a nice improvement if Pittsburgh’s offense could produce 24 points in a game. That would be their best output this season.

The main reason for this expert’s pick was the lack of talent that the Broncos have beat this year. Until last week, all of the opponents that they defeated had no wins in the early goings of the season.

Sporting News

Sporting News also has the black and gold emerging victorious over the Broncos in another close one by a score of 23-21. This is not going to be a pretty win for the Steelers according to this expert.

They predict that Bridgewater will miss the game and Drew Lock will start instead. That swayed their prediction in the home team’s favor even more. They believe that the Steel City defense will cause a few turnovers and Ben Roethlisberger will go down the field with a game-winning drive.
