3 Broncos players fans would love to see play on the Steelers
The Steelers host the Broncos this week. Here are three dream players from Denver we would love to add to our roster.
The Denver Broncos have an array of talent all over the field and many players the fans would love to have, but these three players would help the Steelers and make these not positions of need anymore, as well as helping the odds going in Pittsburgh’s favor.
Here are three Broncos players we would love to see in black and gold:
CB Patrick Surtain II
Cornerback is a big position of need that isn’t very vocalized, Patrick Surtain could help with that and make it not much of a need for a long time. The Steelers don’t have the best track record at drafting cornerbacks so a move for Surtain would be very important.
Surtain has surrendered 178 yards and a touchdown on 15 completions allowed on 25 targets, but he has allowed 121 of those yards through the air, 57 YAC. Surtain stands at 6-2 which is very tall for a corner and he has long arms as well, making pass breakups interceptions easier in certain situations. He also has a very smooth hip swivel when starting to run with a receiver but he starts slow, so he can lose a step or two down the field.
Another thing he would add to the Steeler’s defense is his ability to play the high point and attack the football and is patient at times. His awareness makes him even more dangerous and he is a great secure tackler, something Pittsburgh always needs. He showcased most of these skills during his preseason debut against the Vikings and week 2 against the Jaguars.
Cornerback is one of the hardest positions to play as a rookie and Surtain is playing very well, he is sticking to his receivers for the most and it helps when you are mostly the same size as them.
