Steelers RB Najee Harris

Even with the Steelers struggles to generate any sort of consistent running game through the first four weeks of the season, it was easy to see the talent that Najee Harris possessed. You can only do so much when you are constantly getting hit at or behind the line of scrimmage.

It was no surprise that, when the offensive line finally started to gel, Harris exploded for his first monster performance of his NFL career. On 23 carries, the first-round rookie running back managed 123 rushing yards (5.3 yards per carry) to go with an impressive score in which he leaped over the goal line. Harris also chipped in 2 catches for 20 yards through the air.

Obviously, this was a joint effort with an impressive offensive line performance, but with a little bit more running room this week, Harris consistently churned out yards against an otherwise solid Broncos defense.

Knowing that the line is now capable of holding up their end of the bargain, we can expect many more exceptional performances from the talented running back in the future.
