The Pittsburgh Steelers are coming off an impressive performance against the Broncos. Here’s why they are starting to climb in my Week 6 NFL power rankings.

A lot can change in the NFL in just one week. Prior to their game against the Denver Broncos, many had the Pittsburgh Steelers scrapping the bottom of the barrel in NFL power rankings. This week, they received a significant boost after their strongest offensive performance of the season.

There are other notable teams that have escalated up the power rankings, while a few Super Bowl contenders continue on their descent. Here are my updated NFL power rankings heading into Week 6 of the 2021 NFL season:

52. . . . Jacksonville Jaguars. 32. team

32. Jacksonville Jaguars

2021 first overall pick, Trevor Lawrence, has flashed at times early in his rookie season. While I have no doubt that he can emerge into one of the better quarterbacks in the NFL, it’s very unlikely to happen this season.

The Jacksonville Jaguars are one of just two 0-5 teams remaining. In addition to a struggling offense that turns the ball over far too often, they are currently surrendering 30.4 points per contest. In Week 5, they were embarrassed by the Titans in a 37-19 loss. Perhaps they will stand a shot at their first win of the season against the Miami Dolphins this week, but I wouldn’t bank on it.
