team. 15. . . . New Orleans Saints. 12

12. New Orleans Saints

The New Orleans Saints have been impressive at times this year as they currently sit on a 3-2 record. In Week 1, they took the football nation by storm with a 38-3 pounding over the Green Bay Packers. Unfortunately, they followed up arguably the most impressive performance of the year by getting blown out by the Panthers in Week 2.

The Saints have been incredibly inconsistent so far, and I’m not sure if I’m willing to hitch my wagon on the Jameis Winston train just yet. Still, a team that is currently 11th in scoring, and 4th in defense should be considered as a borderline top-ten team with the potential to go higher.

With a bit more consistent play on the offensive side of the ball, the Saints can climb on my NFL power rankings, but it’s not going to be easy to scale some of the teams ahead of them. Challenging games coming up against the Seahawks and Buccaneers could help add clarity to what type of team New Orleans really is this season.
