48. . . . Tampa Bay Buccaneers. 5. team

5. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

The defending Super Bowl champions started the season as one of the healthiest teams in the NFL. However, they have since been decimated with injuries — most notable to their starting cornerbacks Carlton Davis and Sean Murphy-Bunting. In addition, players like Rob Gronkowski and Antoine Winfield remain sidelined.

Even with their injuries, I think Tampa Bay is a top-five team in the NFL. While their previously elite defense has been slightly below average this year, their offense is currently 3rd in the league with 33.4 points scored per game.

In addition, they have played a few tough games so far, and their only loss of the season came on the road against the Los Angeles Rams. In Week 5, they are coming off a blowout win over the Miami Dolphins. Now they are set to take on the Eagles and the stretch ahead looks very manageable.

With already boasting a 4-1 record, it’s starting to seem likely that Tom Brady and company could lock down the number one seed in the NFC, as teams like the Cardinals and Rams have a much more daunting road ahead.
