2. team. 32. . . . Arizona Cardinals

2. Arizona Cardinals

I thought the Cardinals would be an improved team in 2021. What I didn’t expect was for them to be my number two ranked team in the NFL five weeks into the season. However, it’s hard to argue that they should be any lower than this.

Arizona is the only 5-0 team in the NFL for a reason, and they are the only team to rank inside the top six in both points scored on offense (31.4) and points allowed on defense (19.0). Typically, you would think that this point differential would be the best in the NFL, but one team has outdone them so far.

Still, Kyler Murray is the frontrunner for NFL MVP for a reason, and he’s on pace for a remarkable season this year. The 24-year old quarterback has been electrifying through the first five weeks and turned this offense into a consistent threat to rack up points against the best defenses in the NFL. Just two weeks ago, they dropped 37 in a win over the Rams.

After beating some very respectable opponents and boasting a perfect record to start the season, the Cardinals land in the 2nd spot on my NFL power rankings.
