24. Washington Football Team

It’s hard to have too much faith in the Washington football team this season. This is a team that had a lot of questions at the quarterback position, to begin with. While backup Taylor Heinicke has been up and down filling in for Ryan Fitzpatrick, he is currently graded out as the 32nd-best quarterback in the NFL. Considering there are only 32 NFL teams, that’s not a good sign.

Though Washington’s offense has been respectable this season (24.6 points per game), their defense has been far worse than anyone could have predicted. Last season, this team allowed just 21.2 points per game. This year, however, they have given up a whopping 31.0 points per contest through five weeks — good for 31st in the NFL.

With a very poor defense and an average offense so far this year, it’s hard to put a lot of stock in this team — especially when they are missing a legitimate quarterback. After beating the Falcons in Week 4, Washington lost by two scores against the Saints last week.

Now they have a daunting task against the Kansas City Chiefs and Patrick Mahomes’ high-powered offense. It will be miraculous if they are somehow able to hold them under 30 points.
