Steelers 2nd-round pick: QB Kenny Pickett, Pittsburgh

I know a lot of the Steelers fans will be happy with this pick. Kenny Pickett would be an excellent choice in the 2nd round for the Pittsburgh Steelers. This pick will most likely be from 33 to 40 in the draft and that is where I currently see Pickett being drafted.

Kenny Pickett is your prototypical NFL quarterback. He stands at 6’3” and weighs 220lbs. He has a big arm and can make every NFL-type throw. His last game against Georgia Tech really impressed me. He went 23 for 36 for 389 yards and threw for 4 touchdowns. He made some NFL-type throws in this game that should have impressed a lot of scouts.

On the year, Pickett has been stellar. In 5 games, he has completed 121 of his 168 passes, which gives him an impressive 72.0 completion percentage. He has 19 touchdown passes to only 1 interception on the year.

I really like this fit for the Steelers in the 2nd round. He is probably the most NFL-ready quarterback in the draft, so it should not take him too long to get the starting job in Pittsburgh. I would like to see him sit behind Mason Rudolph at the beginning of the year and then take over the position when Mike Tomlin thinks it is time.
