Steelers DL Cameron Heyward

Chris Collinsworth called Cameron Heyward a future Hall of Famer on Sunday Night Football. While he may need to do a bit more resume building before his time is up, there’s no doubt that Heyward has been one of the best and most consistent defenders in all of football over the past five seasons.

Heyward already graded out as the best interior defender in the NFL through the first five weeks of the season, according to Pro Football Focus, and he did nothing to hurt his impressive game as he strung together another dominant performance against Seattle.

Though Heyward did have a favorable matchup this game against a bad interior offensive line of the Seahawks, he certainly took advantage — earning 9 tackles, 1 sack, 2 tackles for a loss, and 1 QB hit.

Heyward has been on a rampage this season, and I can only imagine how dominant he would be if he had his counterpart, Stephon Tuitt, playing next to him right now. Fans are hoping to see this dominant pairing together later in the season.
