Chris Boswell

Chris Boswell tapped into his 2017-self and kicked a 37-yard game-winning field goal to win the game 23-20 in overtime. Boswell not only kicked the game-winning field goal but he also kicked two others that kept Pittsburgh in the lead.

Boswell has been near perfect with field goals and has a 91.7% FG percentage. Boswell’s 52-yard field goal marked his 4th 50+ yard field goal he has made in a row, his 12th in his carer. Kickoffs weren’t a problem either, he put the ball where he wanted it but the coverage wasn’t the best. He hit kicks from 27, 52, and 37 and made both extra points, kicking 100% from both field goals and extra points.

The Steelers are very lucky to have come across Chris when they did. Boswell is the third most accurate kicker in NFL history and he has been consistent besides the 2018 season. A lot of teams go from kicker to kicker because it is hard to find good kickers that can perform consistently and in hostile environments.

It’s hard to kick in Pittsburgh and the last two long-tenured Steeler kickers proved it to be difficult for them, but Boswell hasn’t made many problems. At just 30 years old, Boswell has many years left and might kick himself into the Steelers ring of fame.
