Matt Ryan, Quarterback, Atlanta Falcons

Matt Ryan hasn’t been the same ever since the Falcons blew that lead against the Patriots in the Super Bowl. He used to be an MVP candidate but the entire Falcons organization is in complete flux. They want to stay relevant without having to rebuild even though this club shows no future. It is run with no direction currently and that will always spell failure before there is any future ahead. It is time for the Falcons to rebuild and that means letting players like Ryan walk.

Ryan is still a veteran that can produce numbers for an NFL offense. He will get another chance at some other organization once his days in Atlanta are over. He is still producing with some fairly decent numbers when compared to other starting quarterbacks in the league. He has won an MVP during his career and that will mean something to another franchise as well.

The biggest issue for this player will be father time as he will be 37 after this season. It seems like his days for this team are numbered as they should move on and focus on rebuilding. That process should start with breaking up this marriage between the Falcons and this quarterback. He will get a chance elsewhere and the hope for him will be reviving his dwindling career there.

All of these players would benefit from a change of scenery. It might not be the answer to their issues on the field but maybe joining a new team would help.
