Jalen Hurts, Quarterback, Philadelphia Eagles

Jalen Hurts has only been in the NFL for a few seasons but it hasn’t gone as planned for the player nor the franchise. The Eagles took the Oklahoma/Alabama product in the second round of the 2020 NFL Draft. It was a surprising pick at the time as Carson Wentz was still the lead man on the team.

Eventually, time passed and injuries occurred which led to Wentz being traded to the Indianapolis Colts and Hurts being deemed the starter. This player isn’t putting up terrible numbers when it comes to his stat department but he needs to be better for his team to start winning games. The Eagles have not been very successful ever since winning the Super Bowl a couple of seasons ago and that is mostly because of their offensive output.

Now the franchise is struggling again to produce winning football. The division is run by the Dallas Cowboys and there is little to no resistance against them. Hurts does not seem to be the answer for Philadelphia and the future of that team.

They need to start fresh and so does Hurts as he gets another shot elsewhere. He is talented enough to be a fringe starter in the NFL and that should give him at least another shot or two. Expect him to start for another team after his Eagle era is complete.
