10 players across the NFL that need a change of scenery
Saquon Barkley, Running back, New York Giants
Saquon Barkley was one of the most electric players to ever step foot onto a college football field. He made so many plays and always played above his competition. The New York Giants are a lost cause when compared to other NFL franchises. They’re always in flux and cannot field a competitive team since those Super Bowl years.
Many might think Barkley is losing some favor in the league but a change of scenery would benefit him greatly. He has all the potential in the world to be the best running back in the league but he can’t accomplish that by himself. He needs some decent run blocking in front of him to accomplish successful runs without looking like a chicken with its head cut off.
The Giants have been one of the worst front groups blocking for this player since he entered the league. The Penn State product had a major knee injury last season and that could be a future concern as well. Running backs are not super valuable in the NFL but this guy is a playmaker.
He needs to find a new team to fully unlock his potential in his career. Finding a new home for Barkley would be a huge benefit to his career and getting a fresh start away from the Giants would be a start. That franchise is struggling right now and many players would benefit from leaving there.
