1. Who will be the Starting Tackles

Zach Banner was reinstated off of injured reserve before the game against the Seahawks but was still inactive as he was not fully healthy yet. Assuming Banner is back healthy, the Steelers will have a question of which tackle should be the odd man out of the starting lineup.

However, Dan Moore Jr. suffered an injury against Seattle, and its severity is not yet known. With the team currently on a bye, it’s very possible that he could return by then.

While the offensive line has looked better over the last two weeks, the unit is still one of the weakest in the league and needs a spark. Banner could help improve the unit, so he should be inserted in at right tackle as soon as he is healthy. As for left tackle, Chukwuma Okorafor has improved his play over the last two weeks, but he doesn’t have the same upside that Moore possesses, which is why Moore should remain in the starting lineup, this time at left tackle.

The issue here is health, as both Banner and Moore’s injury status is unknown at the moment. Meanwhile, even though Okorafor may be best fit as a reserve, he remains the only fully healthy tackle in that rotation, so it’s very possible he remains in the starting lineup.

Regardless of what the team decides, they must discuss each of these questions. The bye week gives the team plenty of time to ponder these questions. The Steelers will look to get a little healthier during their bye week, as they prepare to face Cleveland in Week 7.
