Steelers OT Chukwuma Okorafor

With a third-round pick, you could do worse than a low-level starting offensive tackle; however, Chukwuma Okorafor was essentially starting for Pittsburgh out of necessity. In reality, Okorafor should probably be no more than a swing tackle for an NFL team.

Still, there are a lot of bad football teams out there that will overpay for offensive tackle help (we saw the Steelers do exactly that for Zach Banner and Joe Haeg this past offseason). With Okorafor’s contract expiring and having not made a lot of progress over the past few seasons, Pittsburgh is likely going to want to move in another direction at the position.

Dan Moore looks like he could be a decent option down the line, and the Steelers seem destined to draft an offensive tackle early in the near future. After being a starter in both 2020 and 2021, Okorafor will likely head to whichever team is willing to pay him as such. I’d be shocked if he was back in Pittsburgh after the 2021 season.

There will no doubt be some major overhaul on the roster next season as Pittsburgh looks to revamp their team in a new era. However, it’s very unlikely that these five players will be part of the organization after 2021.
