The NFL Hall of Fame recently announced its initial list of 122 participants, and here are the odds for each of the five Steelers to make it in 2022.

The Steelers saw a huge wave of black and gold get inducted into the NFL Hall of Fame this year, as five former team members’ busts entered Canton’s eternal halls. The Hall of Fame recently announced its initial list of 122 candidates for 2022, and five more former Steelers will attempt to cap off their careers by being immortalized by the league.

Here are the odds of each of the Steelers finalists making it into the Hall of Fame in 2022.

Steelers Gary Anderson

Odds of making it: >1 percent

While Gary Anderson had one of the longest and most successful tenures as a kicker in the NFL, his odds of being inducted into the Hall of Fame seem slim. This isn’t due to his play, but more so due to the fact that it is so hard for specialists of any kind to get into the Hall of Fame. While four kickers are listed on the website under kicker, only two of them were actually just kickers for their careers.

Could Anderson sneak into the top-25 cutdown day? It’s possible but extremely unlikely. Thus his odds of making the Hall of Fame are almost nonexistent. While a great kicker, you need to consistently be the best in the league for multiple years before you can enter the Hall of Fame conversation. Anderson, unfortunately, isn’t there.
