Baltimore Ravens (5-2), Bye Week

The Ravens are coming off an embarrassing loss at home after being blown out  41-17 by Cincinnati. They could have been the lead dog in the AFC North if they defeated the Bengals over the weekend, but instead, they are looking up at them. They currently sit in the driver’s seat when it comes to making the playoffs, but their most recent game might lead to some worry for the division.

The Bengals consistently went up and down the field against the Baltimore defense and it almost didn’t seem fair at times. The home team, Ravens, couldn’t find any answers and lost a tough game. Normally, divisional games are close, but Cincinnati made sure that common thread was slashed away.

The Ravens are still sitting at a 5-2 record and that is still very good. They have beaten a lot of good squads and show some great promise in all phases of the game. They still need work, but overall, this is a solid team that should easily make the playoffs.

The bye week will give them a chance to heal up and get prepared for their stretch run before the playoffs begin. They sit nicely with their current record, but it will be a tough road ahead as Baltimore still has another five divisional games. It should be an interesting run to the playoffs for the AFC North.
